Will a court uphold a DUI for riding a horse while intoxicated?

You know that you can get a DUI if you drive a vehicle while you're intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08 percent or higher. What you may not know are all the different things that are considered to be vehicles. A bicycle might be considered to be a vehicle, and so is a truck or car. In this case, a woman faced a DUI because she allegedly rode a horse while intoxicated.

Man pleads guilty to 4 killings on witness stand

An ex-Parkland student is facing the death penalty after being found guilty of four deaths in Florida. According to the story from Nov. 17, the man described how he killed four people in 2014. One of them was his ex-girlfriend, who he shot to death. He also was found guilty of killing her new boyfriend, her father and her mother.

Do you know the different types of domestic violence?

Facing accusations of a crime can damage a person's reputation and result in having to carry out applicable punishment if a conviction occurs. Unfortunately, you could find yourself among the numerous individuals who have had false accusations brought against them due to the unseemly actions of another person. Though you know these allegations to be untrue, you may still end up in criminal court having to defend yourself.

False accusations aren't as unusual as you may think

Domestic violence is a horrible crime that puts people at risk of serious injuries. While the victims deserve protection, some people take advantage of the presumption that victims are telling the truth. They make up stories and accuse those they're in relationships with of being violent or manipulative to get them into trouble with the law.

How are crimes investigated when the police are involved?

The police investigate crimes after one is committed. Whether it's a drunk driver hitting another person or someone opening fire in a crowded room, the police have a hard job. They have to find out who committed a crime and if they already know, they need to find as much evidence as possible at the scene.

Why is questioning forensics important?

If forensic science is misapplied to your case, it could be a chance for you to fight for your freedoms. When evidence is collected, it has to be treated appropriately. If it's lost or tampered with, there is a possibility to have the evidence restricted and prevented from reaching the court. If that happens, the prosecution may not have enough of a case to charge you.
