Man cited for recklessly making donuts on bridge in Mustang

A person doing donuts on a busy bridge has been arrested following a report of the behavior on the Southeast 17th Street bridge. The driver, who was not named in the report, was suspected to also be the person responsible for a similar stunt a short time later. He was cited for reckless driving and could be linked to the dangerous acts on the bridge in Fort Lauderdale if the police can identify him in the videos of the bridge incident.

Witnesses reported that the driver used his Ford Mustang to create tight circles, known as donuts, and was moving in a way that resulted in the tires burning and letting off smoke. He locked the bridge while doing the stunt; in a video, you can see people outside their vehicles watching him while waiting to move past.

The police have indicated that the man could face additional charges if they're able to link him to the case on the bridge. They intend to prosecute him to the fullest possible extent.

It's never a good idea to do tricks on a busy roadway or active roadway, even if it isn't busy. Everyone who drives has a right to be on the roads without the risk of being in danger. However, if you're accused of driving recklessly but didn't hurt anyone, you can argue against heavy charges or penalties. In cases like this one, it could be easy to have multiple charges against you even if you weren't involved in both instances, so defending yourself is important and necessary as soon as possible.
